People Follow YOUR Example ...

Again I am bringing an interesting issue inspired by my reading somewhere.

Generally we used to say "I'm not bothered / don't care what people think or say about me" but LIKE IT OR NOT, PEOPLE ARE FOLLOWING OUR EXAMPLE (actions).

Most people do not realize how much influence they have on others. You might be the newest guy at the lowest-paying job in the worst company, but you still influence people.

For example, if you taste a cookie, hate it and pull a face, people might notice this. They will then hesitate to taste that type of cookie, even if they already believe they like it.

As another example, your friends are laughing at an overweight woman, but you don't laugh. In fact, you frown. You don't even say anything. They stop laughing at the woman and may stop making fun of overweight women, because of your example.

Of course, children follow the examples set by their parents, employees follow the examples set by their bosses, and group members follow the examples set by their leaders. Yet examples set by children, employees and group members also have a profound effect.

"There are many people one influences. The influence can be good or it can be bad.

"Others around one cannot help but be influenced by this, no matter what they say.

"The way to happiness requires that one set a good example for others."

What kind of influence do you wish to cause?

Perhaps being clean, kind, patient, hard-working and honest?
Respectful, understanding, interested, cheerful and polite?
Healthy, persistent, smart, organized and fair? .... The choice is yours.

Try it out! See how setting a good example leads to new happiness and success in your life.

Cheers ....!!

Why people DISLIKE you : 2 Reasons ...

This is a topic, which we all really want to read. Whatever written here are not my original thoughts ... its being inspired from somewhere (in-fact copied ;). However, its really interesting. Just go thru ...

When people do not like you, they ignore you, disagree with you or attack you.

So to make people like you, you might take extra showers, use a better mouth wash and buy new clothes. You might get a new haircut, buy colored contact lenses and try a different deodorant. Yet they still do not like you.

Even when you tell them how important or popular you are, they still do not like you. Why?

POSSIBLE REASON NUMBER -1
"Asserting one's own importance is about as acceptable as a dead cat at a wedding." -- L. Ron Hubbard

For example, do you know someone who constantly tells you how important he or she is? Do you admire and respect this person?

To be more successful, you can use this idea in reverse. When you make people feel important, they feel good and want to be around you. Most people are more cooperative when they believe you have a high opinion of them.

Certain people are very sensitive about their importance. They get upset, angry, even violent if you treat them with disrespect; with less importance than they feel they deserve. In many cases, the less money, skill or power people have, the greater their need to feel important.

Giving or granting importance to others is a skill you can use to boost goodwill and cooperation. When you make people feel important, they trust you, believe you and like you. They make you successful.

POSSIBLE REASON NUMBER -2
"Ignore people at your peril." -- L. Ron Hubbard

Do you know someone who walks with their nose in the air? Who walks by you as if you do not exist? How does this person make you feel?

You can ruin your success when you ignore people. For example, salespeople rarely get past receptionists when they treat receptionists like they do not exist. And receptionists get in trouble for ignoring people who look like a salespersons, but are actually VIPs.

Contrary to what you may have learned as a teenager, if you ignore people, they do not admire and respect you. Instead, they despise and hate you. Arrogance is not the same as popularity, power or expertise.

Noticing people is not only good manners, it shows the kind of person you are.

For example, Joe is going to the most important job interview in his career. He walks into the high-rise building like a big shot and gets into the elevator to go to the 30th floor. As the elevator doors close, a woman rushes up, but she can't make it as Joe just ignores her. He does not like overweight women. So of course, while waiting in the fancy lobby on th 30th floor, the overweight woman comes out to give Joe the interview.

Never assume anyone is unimportant.

RECOMMENDATIONS
"People have value and are important. Big or small they are important." -- L. Ron Hubbard

1. Instead of making yourself seem important, make other people feel important. Treat everyone you meet as a VIP.

2. Notice everyone you see. Give them your full attention and really listen to them.

Noticing people and making them feel important is essential to your success; you earn friendships that can last a lifetime.

Try it today! Notice everyone. Automatically respect them. Do not worry about your own importance.

With practice, you can notice people and make them feel important with just a glance.

Work on it ... Cheers !!

How to stay YOUNG ...

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
